The capital city of Nova Scotia is Halifax.
The other major cities are Millville, Kentville, Bridgewater, Yarmouth, Springhill, Amherst, New Glasgow, Antigonish, Truro, Port Hawkesbury, Sydney and Glace Bay.

Major Landforms
Ariel view of Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia
Nova Scotia is 55,490 square kilometres in size.
Nova Scotia has hills, low mountains, river valleys, lakes, forests and a sea coast.
Nova Scotia has an island called Cape Breton. Sable Island is another island that looks like a smile and it has no trees and lots of grass and sand.
The shape of Nova Scotia looks like a big fish. Cape Breton Island is the tail of the fish and the south east point looks like a mouth. The isthmus (a small piece of land joining two larger pieces together) looks like a fin.

Natural Resources
Gold Mining
http://www.ressourcesappalaches.com/
Some of the natural resources of Nova Scotia are;
1. Mining (coal, gypsum, iron ore, gold, salt, barite)
2. Fishing (lobster, scallops, haddock)
3. Lumber, pulp and paper
4. Dairy farming and orchards
Using Natural Resorces
Salt from mining is used for eating, softening water in our homes and in winter it melts ice to keep cars safe.
Fish is used for eating and fish bones are used for fertilizer.
Lumber is used for houses and paper.
Dairy and orchards for eating.

Tour
My 3 most interesting places in Nova Scotia
1. Bay of Fundy
The Bay of Fundy is a natural landform on the NW side of Nova Scotia. It has the biggest tidal range in the world.
2. Fisheries Museum in Lunenburg
The Fisheries Museum is interesting because it has lots of old fishing things, tools and history.
3. Whale Cruises
Whale cruises are fun because you get to see whales and sit on a boat. Lunenburg is one of the many places you can go for whale cruises.
