NEW BRUNSWICK IS AN AWESOME PROVINCE :)!!!
The population of New Brunswick is 752,000 people. It was one of the first provinces to join Canada at Confederation in 1867. The provincial flower is purple violet. The provincial bird is the Black Capped Chickadee. The provincial tree is the Balsam Fir. It is Canada's only official bilingual province.
MAJOR CITIES
The capital city of New Brunswick is Fredericton. I went there last summer. I saw the provincial incialegislature building. I tried on a soldier's uniform and we saw an old army barrack where soldier's slept. I also saw a jail where they kept soldiers who where in trouble. My sisters went down a hole in the floor where they used to punish soldiers by locking them in a dark small hole. They called it solitary confinement and it smelled bad. They also had a ceremony called the changing of the guard there. The soldiers marched into a park and fired their guns. It was cool.
Two other important cities are Moncton and Saint John. In St John, there is a lot of fishing and shipping. It is the largest city in New Brunswick.
The important thing about Moncton is that it is on the way to the Provinces of Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia. You need to go through Moncton to get to those Provinces. Moncton also has the Magnetic Hill. When you are driving up Magnetic Hill, you feel like you are going backwards.
